Home      Sunday Church School
Sunday church School is for children ages 3 through 9th Grade.  The Sunday school office is on the first floor.  At 10:00 am on Sunday Mornings, the children meet together in the first floor music room for a short worship service complete with candle lighting, prayer and lots of singing.  They then go off with their individual classes.  The children donate their Sunday school offering money each month.  Last year they made donations to Roswell Park Pediatrics Wing, The Humane Society, The James Prendergast Library Children's Room, Joint Neighborhood Project and St. Susan's Kitchen.  In addition, every Christmas they fill shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child that supply gifts to children who might not otherwise have a gift.  At Christmas the children put on a Christmas Pageant.  It might be a little wild and crazy, but it's always fun.

Confirmation Class is held also at 10:00 on Sunday mornings for students in 7th, 8th and 9th grade.  Once you have completed these three years, you will become a Confirmed Member of First Lutheran Church.  The Confirmation Class dives deep into what it means to be a Lutheran, The Ten Commandments, The Apostles' Creed, The Lord's Prayer, Baptism, Communion and both The Old and New Testiments all while engaging the students with great ideas and activities.

While the youth are learning, we also have many varied Adult Education Classes throughout the year.  Most Adult classes are 8 - 10 week sessions.  Some classes that have been offered were: What it means to be Lutheran, Touch One a book by Chris Schimel, A History of First Lutheran Church, and Various Religions around the World, just to name a few.

We would love to have you and your children take part in our Christian Education.  Join us and Come Feel the Spirit.
